Freestyle productions have set up a collaborative film making group to make on-going productions of micro shorts. For more information Click the “Read More” button to view the films under this umbrella or find out how to get involved.
Freestyle Productions would like to hear from anyone interested in making short films - directors, producers, writers, actors and so on. ‘Short Shorts’ will be the banner under which the productions are collectively produced. These productions can be short, sharp and simple films, scenes, sketches and promos, all of which will be submitted to festivals & competitions, as well as being useful showreel material for those involved.”
By working on these smaller productions Freestyle mean to build up a portfolio of work as well as a database of writers, directors, actors, etc, and a pool of collective experience, contacts and resources and subsequently collaborate on bigger more ambitious projects. Ultimately aiming to create a talented and experienced group of filmmakers who have all worked together previously and use this team to develop and shoot both short and feature length productions intended for sale and distribution.
They are currently looking for short scripts to begin pre-production. These shorts can also be promo’s, sketches, trailers or excerpts from larger projects in development. At this stage all submissions must be able to be shot on a very low budget, with minimal cast and locations. Writers or ideas that show potential may be identified to be developed/nurtured for larger productions in the future.
If you would like to submit an idea please write to the producer, Daniel Stilwell, at info@freestyleproductions.co.uk
If you would like to be involved in these productions please email crew@freestyleproductions.co.uk including a CV and a covering letter outlining your experience, any resources you have access to that you could bring to the group and the reasons for your interest.
